SOUTHERN SHAOLIN SERIES LUO HAN
This is as close to a Karate form as you are likely to see on this site. The movements are southern style , which means, among other things, relatively short arm movements, accompanied by breath control , some kicks and solid but not exaggerated stances. The teaching here is excellent, with a demonstrator who knows the applications and is eager to share his fighting knowledge. Although a bit “more difficult ” the set is not to be overlooked . Good , clear and interesting presentation. By the way , the “Three Rectitudes ” are the eyes , body and feet.
This form , in the shape of a cross , shows sophisticated hand exchanges and angular attacks . Very little kicking , but there are some concentration moves against someone on the ground. Dragons Head Fist, Tiger Claws and other typical southern style moves are shown. APPLICATIONS are demonstrated . Small hand circling with cutting and threading moves abundant .
