Product description:
Trauma research may be the single most fertile area to help gain a deeper understanding of the relationships between emotional, cognitive, social, and biological forces that shape human development. Starting with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults and extending to early attachment and overwhelming attachment and social experiences in childhood (“developmental trauma”), this effort has UC understood how certain experiences can”set”psychological expectations and biological selectivity.
In solving the problems of traumatized people, they continue to respond in various ways to the current experience as a repetition of the past, requiring treatments that are not entirely dependent on drugs or cognition. We have learned that most experiences are automatically processed at the lower level of the cerebral cortex, that is, through”unconscious”explanations that occur outside conscious consciousness. Insight and understanding have only a limited impact on the operation of these subcortical processes, but Synchronicity, motor and repair experience.
