WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER IN THESE 7 WEEKS Classes are held on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm PT. In this 7-week transformation program, Ron guides you through the basic steps and practices you will need to successfully transform your journey of aging into a journey of wholeness, joy, and deeper meaning. Each weekly live session will build harmoniously on the next so that you develop a complete, holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles needed to support your journey into joyful and conscious aging.
Module 1: UNDERSTANDING THE NEW PARADIGM OF AGING (MARCH 23) This session will focus on the emerging, multifaceted, and empowering paradigm of aging (often referred to as “positive aging”) and contrast it with the dominant cultural view of aging as a time of decline and loss. We’ll look at why this shift is happening and look at the different approaches that make up this new paradigm. We then present “conscious aging” as a critical foundation for these various approaches – as an inner work that is critical to achieving the full potential of the chapters that follow in life. And we will explore the archetypal role of “elder” throughout history and the importance of conscientious elders in these times of crisis – and great opportunities. In this module, you will learn: As you age, much more is possible for your life than mainstream culture recognizes. Aging brings loss and decline, but it also opens up new doors for self-realization, growth, passion and service. How these potentials are best realized through conscious preparation, with the inner workings of conscious aging being critical. Why is it important to focus on the kind of person you want to be when looking at what you want to do. Each of us has an archetypal call for true aging that is often overlooked among the discouraging messages of aging in modern culture. That the work of conscious aging helps you respond to this call as you nurture your inner elder, wisdom, and unique gifts. Module 2: ENTRY INTO OLDING WITH GRACE (MARCH 30) As we move out of middle age (of which retirement is often a key marker), we go through a significant life transition. All life transitions include the three-phase dynamics of rupture, neutral zone and new beginning. If we support this process of change within ourselves, we let go of old emotional baggage and enter a new chapter in life with clear vision. Transition rituals, structured or not, have supported the transition from one stage of life to another throughout history and are re-emerging today as important aspects of conscious aging. In this module, you will learn: How the journey from middle age to later chapters in life is an important life transition for your psyche, often heralded by reaching retirement age (whether you’re retiring or not). All life transitions involve the 3-step dynamic of rupture (ending), a neutral zone (between who we were and who we can become) and the emergence of new beginnings. You have a choice: whether to support and how to maintain this transition in yourself or neglect it to the detriment of society. The dynamics of this transition from the rites of passage to work, both traditional and modern. Module 3: HEALING THE PAST FOR EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES FUTURE (6 APRIL) If we are going to enter our succeeding chapters with clear vision and vitality, it is important that we reevaluate our lives so far to see what will serve us in moving forward and heal our past so that we are not burdened with old baggage in the future. travel. For many of us, regret is a critical dynamic that requires healing. Forgiving others and ourselves is also critical. Healing our past is greatly facilitated by studying and rewriting the stories we tell ourselves about the meanings of events in our lives. In this module, you will learn: Life review is a fundamental element in the workings of conscious aging. How to make your dreams come true without being burdened with unhealed wounds, regrets, resentments, and disheartening stories in your life. Forgiveness as the process of releasing toxic attachments to the past. How to transform regrets and overwhelming personal stories, and learn how a hero’s journey can be a powerful catalyst for a transformative soul perspective and a deeper understanding of your life. Rituals that support you in letting go of beliefs, attitudes, habits and identifications that will not serve to move you forward. The practice of the death lodge that weaves together multiple dynamics that can help you heal your past so you can move with pure energy into your future.
Module 4: LIFE IN THE GAP (APRIL 13) When we begin to separate from our identification with middle-aged adults, we enter a time between life stages called “liminal time” or “neutral zone.” This time is characterized by confusion, a feeling of being in a foreign country without roadmaps and a loss of meaning without a clear vision of a meaningful future.It is also full of potential as the seeds of a new vision and purpose are born in us. There are practices that can help us use this intermediate time to to gain the new vision and energy that await us in the older chapters of our lives. In this module, you will learn: How to navigate and understand the neutral zone – this is the critical time between who you were and who you can become – so that you can use it as a springboard for a brighter future. Ways to access your full potential from this ultimate time when the seeds of a vision of the future are sprouting in you. Deliberate approaches to deliberately enter this time to recognize and nurture these seeds of vision. Loneliness and silence are very important during this time. How time in the natural world helps you get in touch with the qualities, values, and callings that are most authentic in you. How synchronicity and dreams can be looked after and guided on the way. Module 5: CREATING A HERITAGE OUR ELDER CHAPTERS (APRIL 20) The main theme of this session is that building our legacy does not end with retirement. The legacy we create as elders can be a legacy of continued growth and service to our world. We create this legacy by using the power of intention to set goals for ourselves, not just resort to the popular bucket list. ” The practice of “ten intentions for ten years” can help us set and achieve such goals.It is important that we, as elders, create a life that reflects the right balance between service and enjoyment, action and being. In this module, you will learn: Your senior chapters can be an important time for you to create a legacy that goes beyond what you have created so far. Key principles of successful intentionality, which is immensely powerful and necessary for you to reach the potential of your senior years. Ten Intentions for Ten Years as a powerful practice to help you grow towards wholeness as you age. How writing a legacy letter and / or participating in oral history work are valuable ways to get in touch with your legacy and lay the foundation for the legacy you have yet to create. How to find a balance between service and enjoyment, action and being, which can be difficult, but extremely important for conscious elders. Module 6: PRACTICES OF BECOMING AND STAYING IN CONSCIOUSNESS (APRIL 27) The main theme of this session is “The I that wins is the I that we feed.” This session will focus on a variety of practices we can use to fuel our self toward higher goals as we consciously age. It is equally important that we become aware of the ways of living that tend to dull our consciousness, nourish our fears and suck our energy. In this module, you will learn: Practice aging consciously with a commitment to thrive in a largely unconscious world. Ways to navigate unconscious sabotage and build a future based on clear vision and conscious intentions. Several practices to help you stay awake as you feed your best self. Habit and lifestyle transformation techniques that dull consciousness, feed fears and drain energy.
Module 7: SEARCHING FOR SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY (MAY 4) This session will focus on the importance of seeking the support of like-minded people if we are to successfully navigate the path of conscious aging. We will explore the growing variety of organizations that build support communities for our older age, including shared housing, the village model, and others. We’ll look at programs like the Elder Wisdom Circle, The Ions Conscious Aging Program, Sage-ing International Workshop, and Chooseing Conscious Elderhood retreats that enable people to have community support as they do their conscious aging work. And we will explore opportunities for conscientious elders to engage in community service and social action that are critical to helping the world successfully navigate the great changes that are taking place. This session will also address topics that arise throughout the course and require further discussion, refinement or clarification. In this module, you will learn: Conscious aging work requires community support to be sustainable and successful. As you age, there is a growing number of models that enable you to build and maintain a community. Why it can be very helpful to find support in the wisdom circles of elders and in mindful aging workshops and retreats. Opportunities to serve your society and the Earth as part of your commitment to conscious aging. Why the Great Turnaround needs a culture of conscientious elders in every nation, and why creating such a culture requires community building. Health and medical course More information about medical: Medicine is the science and practice of diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. Medicine includes a variety of health care methods designed to maintain and restore health through the prevention and treatment of disease. Modern medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics and medical technologies for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries and diseases, usually through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through a variety of treatments such as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics and ionizing radiation, among others. Medicine has been around for thousands of years, during most of which it was an art (area of skill and knowledge), often associated with religious and philosophical beliefs of local culture. For example, a healer used herbs and recited prayers for healing, or an ancient philosopher and doctor used bloodletting in accordance with theories of humor. In recent centuries, since the advent of modern science, most of medicine has become a combination of art and science (btx fundamental and applied, under the auspices of medical science). While the stitching technique is an art studied in practice, the knowledge of what happens at the cellular and molecular level in the tissues being stitched arises from science.
